The Shield is a lightweight, four-season mountaineering tent with a single door and single-wall design meant to be taken to the highest elevations, withstand the strongest winds, and keep you warm in the coldest climates. This bomber tent is constructed with ultralight nylon, 3-layer waterproof, breathable fabric with a microporous membrane and tricot layer to enhance moisture management and provide protection from the elements. The Accessory Vestibule (sold separately) adds covered entry and exit, plus additional gear storage when you need a little more room to spread out undercover.

• WE GOT YOU COVERED – The door features two windows: one weather-viewing window and one with two closure options: mesh only for ventilation or zip up the nylon layer for complete closure. Two supported roof vents with reach-through mesh design allows vent closure from tent interior, and to allow rope pass-through for sleeping in a secured harness. Zip closed nylon vent flaps for complete closure. The Accessory Vestibule (sold separately) adds covered entry and exit, plus additional gear storage.
• FULL FEATURED – DAC Featherlite NSL pole system with press fit connector is light and strong. DAC L stakes may be buried as Deadman anchors. Oversized stake out loops to be used with skis, ice axe, ski poles, etc. Pole sleeves attach tent body to poles and reinforce structure. Triangular stake-out flaps on exterior add extra guyout points for added stability. Reinforced tent corners at webbing locations.
• READY TO PITCH with pre-cut guy lines and tensioners attached to fly. Heave duty reflective guy lines and webbing on tent corners make your tent easily visible. All seams taped with waterproof, solvent-free polyurethane tape (No PVC or VOC's). Trail weight is 3 lb. 14 oz. and packs down to 17.5 x 7 inches.
• LIFETIME WARRANTY – Includes 8 lightweight DAC L stakes and 4 interior mesh pockets. Multiple interior loops are for attaching accessories and mtnGLO Tent & Camp Lights (sold separately). To extend the life of your tent floor we recommend using a Big Agnes footprint - sold separately.
